Ian Hamilton
Managing Director
Ian started his career in the early 1980’s at a national broker and after 5 years he moved to Brussels and then back to London in 1987.
Since then he has worked in senior management and lead Underwriter roles across multiple classes of business for various Insurance companies and Lloyd's syndicates.
Ian joined Carroll & Partners in 2006 to set up, develop and expand their regional MGA, Breeze Underwriting Limited.
Jeremy Lewis
Director
Jeremy started his insurance career with Irish National Reinsurance Co. Ltd. in 1984 subsequently developing his underwriting experience through a long period of Commercial and Liability underwriting on behalf of CIGNA (Europe) and ACE Group in the London Market.
Jeremy has worked for a number of MGA’s in the London Market notably with EBO since 2008.
Jeremy is responsible for the underwriting of the EBO business within the merger of Breeze Underwriting Ltd.
Jeremys hobbies include Football, Cricket, Music, Art, Literature and Travel.
Neil Clarke
Director
Neil started his career in the late 1980’s with the Guardian Royal Exchange in Ipswich and after 10 years there he moved on to New India to head-up the new business team there.
Neil has over 30 years of experience in all forms of Commercial and Liability business. He has been with Breeze since 2011, in his role he deals with Property Owners and Commercial Combined policies, mainly focusing on new business.
Neil’s hobbies include gardening and watching films.
David Miles
Underwriter
David started his career in the insurance industry in 2011 after graduating from Bristol University in the sciences in 2009.
David joined EBO in 2012 – he is responsible for underwriting the EBO business including new and renewal business.
David’s hobbies include Classical Music, History and Current Affairs.
Ian Cracknell
Commercial Underwriter
Ian started his career in 1988 working at Guardian Royal Exchange in Ipswich and after 10 years there went onto work as a broker for 11 years, then 4 years as a new business underwriter for New India.
Ian has been with Breeze since 2013 and in his role he deals with Commercial Combined and Property Owners business mainly on the new business side.
Ian’s Hobbies include golf, gardening and watching films.
Gemma Ward
Liability Operations Manager
Gemma started her career in 2008 with Towergate Insurance, dealing with Commercial Insurance as part of an online trading team.
After working in London for an MGA and then as an Insurance Broker, Gemma joined Breeze in 2015 as an Underwriter on the Liability and Contract Works division.
Gemma is now the Operations Manager in this division and is responsible for the day-to-day running and planning, as well as being a new business and renewals underwriter.
Gemma is Cert CII qualified and is currently working towards her Diploma.
Robert Oaten
Underwriter
Rob started his career in 1997 with Aviva as a Multi-Line Underwriter including 6 years as an on-site underwriter within brokers offices.
Rob has been with Breeze since 2010 and is a Liability and Contract Works Underwriter dealing mainly with new business as well as being responsible for the online referral system for Excess of Loss and Per Capita.
Rob’s hobbies include watching all types of sport, watching films and reading.
Jessica Virgo
Assistant Underwriter
Jess joined Breeze in 2009 and after spending a year in the Carroll Holman London office, before coming back to Breeze.
Jess works within the Commercial Combined and Property Owners team, her main responsibility is handling the renewal book, she is also involved with mid-term adjustments and policy issuance, as well as providing group wide support to all offices.
Jess’ hobbies include going to the gym, shopping, socialising and holidays.
Melissa Reeve
Account Handler
Melissa joined Breeze in 2010 as an apprentice having completed a Diploma at the Colchester Institute.
Having started in a junior role at Breeze, Melissa is now responsible for issuing policy documentation and renewals of the Per Capita online system.
Melissa has started studying for her professional qualifications and her hobbies include going to the cinema, listening to music and going to the gym.
Madeleine Bye
Administration Assistant
Madeleine joined Breeze in 2017 initially to undertake logging of Breeze Quotes, but she has subsequently moved onto assisting in policy issuance and general administrative duties for the team for Commercial Combined and Property Owners division.
Madeleine has recently passed her CII exams and her hobbies include reading and going to the gym.
Lyd Moyler
Administration Assistant
Lyd joined Breeze in 2016 initially to undertake logging of Breeze quotes, but she has subsequently moved onto assisting in policy issuance and general administrative duties for the Liability team.
Lyd’s hobbies include socialising and Arsenal.
Charlotte Smith
Administration Assistant
Charlotte has just started at Breeze and is responsible for the logging of quotes and running of diary systems in the office.
